SENIOR GIFT CO-CHAIRS
As the Senior Gift co-chairs for the class of 2008, we are thrilled to help educate our classmates about the importance of alumni support and philanthropy at Harvard. The mission of Senior Gift is to raise current-use funds from the senior class to support College initiatives such as financial aid and the undergraduate experience. We believe it is important to invest in Harvard because it is only with ongoing and generous support that Harvard can maintain its status as a world-class institution. Seniors, join us in the Senior Gift effort. Our class gift is a wonderful way to show our appreciation for and loyalty to Harvard. CRIMSON CALLER
For me, Crimson Callers has been one of the best parts of my short undergraduate experience. The nights I spend at the College Fund each week are never dull, a tribute to the wonderful alumni who make every phone call unique and interesting, and the diverse group of students that make up the Crimson Callers. Aside from being a Crimson Caller, I am also a member of the Women's JV Basketball team, a member of the Kuumba singers, and a Mentor with the Women and Youth Supporting Each Other (W.Y.S.E) program in Roxbury. Balancing all these extracurriculars along with schoolwork and my job at the Crimson Callers has been no easy task, but my time management skills have never been better.
I am a student representative for the Harvard College Fund Undergraduate Committee (HCFUC). I have been active in this organization for almost two years now, since the beginning of my freshman year. Our primary task is to plan thankathons, which are events where current undergraduates have the opportunity to write thank you notes to alumni who have donated to the fund. Being involved with the HCFUC is very rewarding. The people I work with are fantastic, and the students’ gratefulness for the chance to express their appreciation for the donations that make their undergraduate experience as wonderful as it is always puts a smile on my face. I am also active with the Harvard Cancer Society and
through that, I'm co-director of the Relay for Life program. Additionally,
I serve as the Student Affairs Council representative for the Hawaii Club,
and I work for Harvard Law School's Phonathon program. STUDENT WORKER I am incredibly thankful for the financial aid I receive from Harvard and am grateful to be able to work in small ways to support the work and cause of the Harvard College Fund.
